July 2023
- July 20: Winds of Exchange release dates confirmed for August 5h (North America) and September 15 (International), with the Pre-Release events held a week prior.
- July 9: First Vault Tour organized by Ghost Galaxy held in Philadelphia.
June 2023
- June 5: Winds of Exchange and Unchained decks are now scannable in the Master Vault!
May 2023
- May 31: Deck ownership, alliance deck builder, digital Æmber, friends, and event keys are introduced to the Master Vault.
- May 21: Ghost Galaxy's Gen Con schedule is revealed, including the US National Championships.
- May 18: Tickets for the first three US Vault Tours are now on sale. New dates for the Roseville VT: 18-20 August.
- May 9: Shipping for the Gamefound fulfillment has begun!
- May 5: Ghost Galaxy announced dates for 3 US Vault tour stops: July 7-9 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, July 14-16 in Roseville, Minnesota, and September 15-17 in Dallas, Texas
April 2023
- April 27: In response to a tweet from GAMA, Ghost Galaxy confirmed that in-store league kits should be available in Fall 2023, with Store Championship kits returning in 2024.
- April 20: Ghost Galaxy updated the Gamefound campaign regarding translation and localization. They also noted that backers with only English decks in their pledge should see shipping begin in may.
- April 18: Ghost Galaxy published an update to the KeyForge Master Rulebook and the Tournament Rules and Guidelines.
- April 13: Ghost Galaxy posted a video showcasing the two Winds of Exchange archon decks from the 2 Player Starter Set that was unboxed in their video published the previous week.
- April 7: Ghost Galaxy releases a video showing the 2-Player Starter Set and its contents.
March 2023
- March 23: Ghost Galaxy updates the plan for 2023 Organized Play, removing regionals from the program, and announcing that the Word Championships would be held November 11-13 at the Gamezenter in Roseville, MN.
- March 9: Ghost Galaxy posts a new video to the Gamefound campaign, showing off more production of the new set.
February 2023
- February 23: Ghost Galaxy updates the Gamefound campaign showing Fall of the House Gormangeist being tested.
- Feburary 17: Ghost Galaxy announces the hiring of Luke Olson (aka SkyJedi).
- February 7: Updates to the Master Vault include the addition of enhancements, a long hoped for feature.
January 2023
- January 27: Ghost Galaxy updates the Gamefound campaign with a video of decks being produced.
- January 20: Ghost Galaxy cancels Store Championships for 2023, choosing to focus on production of Winds of Exchange. They are also seeking partners in organizing regional championships, non-US national championships, and Vault Tours.
- January 18: Ghost Galaxy announces that the Master Vault migration will happen on 25 January 2023.
- January 11: An update to the Gamefound campaign shows token decks being produced and packaged as well as package materials for playmats and other items for fulfillment.
November 2022
- November 21: KeyForge Celebration 2022 recap is posted, including the keynote address.
- November 16: Ghost Galaxy announces the the Pledge Manager is live for the Gamefound campaign.
- November 10: The first version of the new, living Master KeyForge Rulebook is now published.
- November 1: Ghost Galaxy published the first edition of the new KeyForge Tournament Guidelines.
October 2022
- October 27: Ghost Galaxy revelead changes to the previously spoiled cards.
- October 18: The first two KeyForge Adventures are now available in retail.
- October 12: Ghost Galaxy provides an update to the tournament formats, which now include both Archon and Sealed single deck play.
- October 8: KeyForge Celebration 2022 is announced, along with three experimental formats for Organized Play: Archon (resembling Triad Best of One), and Sealed and Alliance which both allow some construction using "house pods".
September 2022
- September 27: Winds of Exchange raised over $1.1M from more than 6k backers in a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign.
- September 24: Ghost Galaxy shows the first Winds of Exchange decks being printed.
- September 16: Fall of the House Gormengeist, the third KeyForge Adventure is announced.
- September 13: Ghost Galaxy announced the name of set 7 as Grim Reminders.
- September 9: The KeyForge: Winds of Exchange crowdfunding campaign launched and is successfully funded in 27 minutes.
- September 7: Ghost Galaxy gives some insight into the new house, the Merchant Compacts of Ekwidon.
- September 2: Ghost Galaxy reveals the 5 levels of plegdes for the upcoming crowdfunding campaign.
August 2022
- August 30: Ghost Galaxy details more information about token creatures for the upcoming Winds of Exchange set.
- August 23: Ghost Galaxy provided more details on their upcoming crowdfunding campaign to support KeyForge.
- August 15: Ghost Galaxy published a report of how KeyForge went at GenCon 2022.
- August 4: Ghost Galaxy announced that they will be using the crowdfunding platform Gamefound for the initial runs of Winds of Exchange.
July 2022
- July 26: Ghost Galaxy posted a job listing for a Marketing Coordinator.
- July 20: Ghost Galaxy announces the commercial release of the KeyForge Adventures series, expected to arrive in stores in the Fall of 2022. The commercial release will feature "Nightmare Cards" to increase the difficulty of the game.
- July 14: Ghost Galaxy announces that they will be "giving demos of KeyForge, sharing more exciting news about KeyForge, and giving away some cool stuff" at GenCon.
- July 7: Ghost Galaxy publishes a list of Frequently Asked Questions about their acquisition and plans for KeyForge.
June 2022
- June 22: Ghost Galaxy, founded by Christian T. Petersen, announces that they have acquired the KeyForge property and will be taking over the production of the game.
- June 21: Ghost Galaxy releases a statement on their plans for KeyForge.
- June 21: Ghost Galaxy reveals more details on the upcoming Winds of Exchange set, specifically around Token Creatures.
2021
September 2021
- Sep 15: The new house introduced in Winds of Exchange is confirmed to be Compacts of Ekwidon, a mercantile house featuring themes of trade and exchange.
- Sep 10: Fantasy Flight Games announces a hiatus for the game to fix the algorithm, confirms set 6 and a new project to make a digital version of KeyForge.
May 2021
- May 14: Dark Tidings and the updated English rulebook are officially released in the United States.
- May 14: The second KeyForge Adventure, Abyssal Conspiracy, is released.
April 2021
- Apr 23: Rise of the Keyraken, the first co-operative KeyForge Adventure, is now available as a free print-and-play.
- Apr 16: Dark Tidings is released in Canada and throughout Europe, as well as playable on the fan-made The Crucible Online.
- Apr 14: Dark Tidings, the fifth KeyForge set, is now available on the Master Vault.
- Apr 12: The first KeyForge novel, The Qubit Zirconium by M Darusha Wehm, is released.
March 2021
- Mar 23: The Art of KeyForge, a book containing detailed illustrations of art from the game, is released.
- Mar 12: Dark Tidings is released in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Australia.
- Mar 11: KeyForge Adventures, a new way to play KeyForge cooperatively for 1-3 players, is announced. The first two adventures will be released for free starting in April.
- Mar 11: FFG makes an official announcement regarding both the delay of Dark Tidings in several countries and issues with updating the Master Vault.
February 2021
- Feb 21: The release of Dark Tidings is delayed to April due to shipping issues, but it is currently unclear which countries are affected by this delay.
- Feb 4: KeyForge World Championships postponed until 2022, Vault Tours and other large Organized Play events to return towards the end of the year.
January 2021
- Jan 13: Over 20 new cards added to the spoilers page for Dark Tidings.
- Jan 7: Rulebook update released, adding clarifications, more precise language, new FAQ and errata. About the update: "A Mutation in the Rules".

- Dec 17: KeyForge developer Aaron Haltom answers over 30 outstanding rules questions, which are now reflected on the card pages of the wiki.
- Dec 14: FFG suspends Crucible Casts until the end of the year due to COVID-19 concerns.

- Nov 7: "Crucible Cast 25: Board Games By Video Chat You Say?" is released

- Aug 25: 2 Million decks are now registered in the Master Vault
- Aug 24: Organized Play COVID-19 update: All large scale events canceled for the remainder of 2020, Store level events starting where possible.
- Aug 1: 10 "Impossible" Print and Play decks released during the FFG Gen Con Dark Tidings Discussion stream
July 2020
- Jul 29: Dark Tidings, the fifth set, is announced at the Fantasy Flight Games In-Flight Report, and will be released in February 2021.
- Jul 25: "Crucible Cast 22: Mass Mutation Scavenger Hunt!" is released.
- Jul 10: Mass Mutation, the fourth KeyForge set, is released worldwide! The rulebook is also updated with new rules, errata, FAQ, and a modified timing chart. Each Mass Mutation deck registered before July 27th will be worth 10 Æmbershards instead of the usual one.
- Jul 8: With the Korean release of Mass Mutation, KeyForge is now available in 12 languages.
- Jul 4: "Crucible Cast Ep. 21: Back To The Studio" is released. Chainbound events can be held again where local social distancing rules allow for it.
- Jul 2: "KeyForge Mass Mutation Showcase" streamed on FFG Live.
June 2020
- Jun 6: "Crucible Cast Ep. 20: The Quarantine Continues..." is released
May 2020
- May 21: New global release date for Mass Mutation is July 10.
- May 2: "Crucible Cast Ep. 19: The Quarantine Episode... Part 2" released
- May 1: Mass Mutation will be released in China and Taiwan on May 29, while the global release is currently scheduled for late July.
April 2020
- Apr 16: 4x preview Mass Mutation Print and Play decks are now available for free download.
- Apr 16: "KeyForge Mass Mutation AMA" released
- Apr 15: FFG extends the suspension of all store-level events through September 1, 2020. All premier events such as Vault Tours are suspended through July 29.
- Apr 4: "Crucible Cast Ep. 18: The Quarantine Episode" released
March 2020
- Mar 17: FFG suspends all Organized Play through June 1, 2020, including Vault Tours and the 2020 World Championship. The UK Games Expo has rescheduled its convention to August 21-23, 2020.
- Mar 12: The AdeptiCon Vault Tour is cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus.
- Mar 7: "Crucible Cast Ep.17: The Q & A Episode" released
- Mar 1: Alejandro Rosa Calero, the reigning Spanish Grand Champion, becomes the first two-time Grand Champion after winning the UK Grand Championship.

- Nov 08: Worlds Collide, the third KeyForge set is released worldwide! It is also immediately playable on the fan-made The Crucible Online.
