2019 Madrid Vault Tour
The 2019 Madrid Vault Tour took place in Madrid, Spain on September 27-29, 2019. It was an archon survival event in which each player brought three decks. There were a total of 168 players at the tournament. Because of the sizable number of players and the format, the day 1 qualifier was extended to seven rounds instead of six rounds, and players needed a record of 5-2 or better to advance to day 2. While Age of Ascension decks represented over 30% of the total decks brought to the tournament, only 12.5% of decks in the top 16 were from the second set.[1]
The Polish player Jakub Nosal of Team SAS-LP won the event with his deck Adm. Inslang, the Pink Fraud in a best-of-3 final against an Age of Ascension deck. He became the second player to win two Vault Tours, both times by piloting his Logos, Mars, Shadows deck Pink Fraud.
