User:Blinkingline/How to play in a KiP Tournament

From Archon Arcana - The KeyForge Wiki

The Knowledge is Power team is a group of KeyForge players that are actively promoting online play on their own server. As a judge of these tournaments, I wrote these guidelines to help new players know what to expect and how to best go about navigating the logistics of the tournament.

AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT

  1. If you haven't already, set up your account on KiP Tournaments
  2. If you haven't already, set up an account on Challonge.
  3. Join the KiP Discord

AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT If the tournament is using an Archon format, validate your deck by posting it to the appropriate channel in the discord.

In your Validation post, include the following information:

Your username on KiP
Your username on the Discord (if different)
Your username on Challonge (if different)
Link to the Master Vault for your deck
A photo of your identity card on a piece of paper with the above information written on it, as well as the date.

30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT

  1. Log into the Discord.
  2. Read and follow any instructions from the Tournament Organizer
  3. Do NOT make a game until advised to do so by the Tournament Organizer. Note that the bracket on Challonge is not final until the Tournament Organizers say, so the preliminary matchups are subject to change.

DURING THE TOURNAMENT

  1. If you have any rules questions or concerns about the way a card or rules interaction works, notify the judges channel via Discord. If necessary, you may need to enable Manual Mode on KiP to rectify the situation. The judge's decision can be appealed to the TO. The TO's decision is final.
  2. If there is a technical difficulty report it to the #judge-volunteers or in the #bugs-or-feature-requests channel

AT THE END OF EACH ROUND

  1. Report the result of the tournament by updating your bracket on Challonge
