Prophecy
Prophecy cards are a special card type which are included with some KeyForge decks. Prophecy cards are double sided. Each prophecy card can be either active or inactive. All prophecy cards begin the game inactive. Prophecy cards are never shuffled into a deck and cannot be added to a player's hand, archives, discard pile, or purged zone.
Each turn, during a player’s “Play, discard, and use cards” phase that player may choose one of their inactive prophecy cards and make it active by flipping it to a side of their choice and placing it near the battleline. After making the prophecy card active, that player chooses one card from their hand and places it facedown under the prophecy they just made active. No more than one card may be placed under a prophecy card this way.
The active player can only place one prophecy card each turn. Once a prophecy has been made active, it remains active until its condition is fulfilled.
Once the condition on a prophecy card has been met, the active player fulfills the prophecy by revealing the facedown card beneath it. Any Fate: abilities on the revealed card are resolved, then the revealed card is placed in its owner's discard pile, and the Prophecy card returns to its owner in an inactive state.
Prophecy cards and cards under prophecy cards are not considered to be in play.
