Lore:The Local Group
Located on Kaevalus near the Photic Ocean, the Local Group is a region of sectors known throughout The Crucible. Believed to be about thirty million square kilometers.[1]
Notable Sectors
Brighthaven
Floating above the rest of The Local Group, Brighthaven is home to the Sanctum. It is a symbol of their path to Enlightenment. While other floating landmasses may go where the whims of the world take them, Brighthaven is guided by the Transcended. Lately it hovers near Quantum City. [2]
The Burning Glaciers
Located in the southeast corner of the Local Group, near Nova Hellas and The Great Glass Desert.[3] These glaciers are surrounded by flames for meters around. While the ice from the glaciers doesn't seem to be affected by the fire, it quickly melts when removed from the area.[2]
The Carniferous Forest
A dangerous and large forrest to the west of Hub City. As it name suggests it is inhabited with many plants bent on eating other plants and animals. Most just give it a wide berth. [2]
