Community

Community is an unofficial, community-made variant for KeyForge, introduced at KeyForge Celebration 2025 by Bad Penny Press. The variant uses several community cards that players can collect and trade in order to expand their play experience, each of which modifies turns in various ways. Community also supports play with any KeyForge mode or variant, including ones that feature more than two players.

How to Play

The variant focuses on using one or more community decks, which players pull from at the start of each turn, revealing a new community card. Each community card provides a modifier for the turn. Players can choose to skip one community card each turn, if they can pay the card's skip cost in full.

There are three sub-variants which determine the method in which the community deck is constructed:

Full: Use one player's entire card collection as a shared deck.
Combined: Each player brings a constructed set of 12 cards, which are combined to make one shared deck.
Constructed: Each player brings a constructed set of16 cards, and uses their own individual deck.

The file is a 5 page PDF (8.5 x 11")
Print one page first as a test, at 100% scale or "actual/original size"
If parts of cards are cut off (or if a slightly smaller cutout is desired), reduce the print scale accordingly (typically, no lower than 97% should be necessary)
